Body Map

You can help your vet by completing a body map of the lesions you have found so far – you should download the horse/donkey body map by printing the images below!  Then you can add any sites that are suspicious so that you can guide your vet to these.

Your vet can add to this when they examine your horse. A photo of the map will help the experts take into account your horses lesions when planning their treatments. Numbering the lesions will ensure that the photo matches the lesion site.

Measuring the lesions will help your vet to assess the progression of any lesions over time and knowing where the lesions were last time will you identify new lesions.

Keeping an accurate record of lesion development over time will improve the treatment options your horse can get. Your vet will decide if they are sarcoid or seek specialist advice if necessary.

REMEMBER… Consult the vet early
